The first Northern race of season cancelled due to rain.
Well, Mother Nature sure wasn’t on our side on Saturday or Sunday at the Toledo Ohio race. There were a lot of disappointed people in the Lorz trailer come Saturday and Sunday. The weather was just cold and rainy and never let up. Some of the times we thought that there would be a window of opportunity to get qualifying in but that didn’t happen.
Practice was Friday afternoon and everything was going pretty good although there were some adjustments needed to be done on both race cars. Both drivers had already had one test run earlier that week, but apparently a few more things needed to be adjusted. There were 4 different practice sheets handed out and Troy had made it up to 3rd and Josh had gotten about 6th fastest during one of the sessions. It was quite a let down when the race had gotten canceled. Both Troy and Josh are anxiously waiting for their runs at O’Reilly Raceway Park on April 25th, which is next on the Northern schedule. The Lorz crews will be keeping their fingers crossed and hopes that Mother Nature will be on their side for the next race.
