Midlothian, Illinois (Wednesday, September 17. 2008): As the marathon
2008 racing season in the ASA Late Model Series Northern Division hits
the home stretch, Lorz Motorsports' top driver, Troy Hintzsche is
looking at finishing the year on a strong note.
Hintzsche and crew will head back to I-70 Speedway in Odessa, Missouri
this weekend on Friday and Saturday, September 19-20, 2008 for the a
scaled down version of the traditional World Cup Weekend at the famed
high-banks in the Show-Me State.
In years past, the World Cup race was a 200-lap Feature pitting the
stars of the Northern Division against their Southern Division
counterparts. That's not the case this season, but the race is just as
important to Car Owner, Mike Lorz.
"The Lorz Motorsports team is looking forward too going back to I-70
speedway. We've had fast cars in the past but just can't seal the deal
there," Stated Lorz. "Last year I thought we had a chance of winning
with Dave Gentile Jr., but crashed with 20 laps to go. That was a big
disappointment."
"Troy was running good there in July of this year and got caught up in
a wreck," He continued. "The Boy's on the team have been working hard
the last couple of weeks so I think we have something for them this
weekend. We need a good run as we get towards the end of the year."
The Car Owner ended.
After Hintzsche finishing a career high third at the Milwaukee Mile
back on August 23rd, the team ventured over to the Hawkeye State and
raced in the 2nd annual Performance Concepts Inc., Bob Milner Memorial
100 at Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids, Iowa back on August 30th.
Hintzsche finished a disappointing 21st after contact with another car
in the caution filled affair but still remains in the Top Five in the
season long point's chase. The Malta, Illinois driver, along-with
sixth and seventh place, Dave Gentile Jr., and reigning ASALMS
Northern Division Champion, Trent Snyder are separated by a mere Five
(5) Points.
For the remainder of the 2008 racing season, Hintzsche is steering the
red and black #76 Lorz Motorsports Ford Fusion with sponsorship from:
Winfield Solutions as well as DeKalb Seed, International Truck and
Engine Corporation, BASF Chemical Corporation, Rooster Reality, Bell
Racing, M.P.H. Promotions, and Lorz Motorsports.
Also Lorz Motorsports is looking for a driver with financial backing
to finish off the 2008 ASALMS North campaign as well as for the
upcoming 2009 racing season.
