In 2008 Lorz Motorsports will run the full schedule in the ASA Late Model (Northern) racing series. The team has selected Josh Lane to drive the Lorz No. 54 entry in all events in '08 while Troy Hintzsche will pilot the #76 entry.
Lorz Motorsports has been competing in ASA since 2001. The team has worked with a number of talented drivers including Dave Mader III, two-time ASA champion Gary St. Amant, Ryan Zeck, Dan Frederickson, Michael Annett, Alison Quick, Mike Osgar, Dave Gentile Jr., Michael Pickens and Erik Darnell. Lorz Motorsports is an established race team with overwhelming racing knowledge and talent. The team is a proven contender at any race track it visits. A number of front-running ASA stars have called upon the Lorz Motorsports team for knowledge and know how.
During the 1990's, the Lorz Motorsports Team competed in Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) stock car action with Mike Lorz handling the driving chores. With a strong winning background on Chicago area short tracks, Mike wheeled the Lorz team entry in the ARCA competition at various Midwest speedways from quarter mile "short tracks" to one-mile dirt fairgrounds ovals.
Stepping away from the driving-end of the sport, Mike decided to enter ASA competition as a team owner in 2001. Teaming up with his brother, Dan, Mike put together a hard-working and knowledgable team for the ASA series.
The entire Lorz Motorsports racing team is looking forward to the 2008 season. With its love for the sport and it dedication and attention to detail, the team will again field a contender at each ASALM race it competes at during the upcoming season.
